Cristina Gil is currently Sustainability & ESG Advisor at the Global Reporting Initiative. She is a seasoned sustainability leader, who has held positions such as Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer at Suzano and Vice-President of Sustainability at Orbia. With a background in chemistry and an MSc in Environmental Science, she has fulfilled diverse roles across regional and global mandates, which include working for The Nature Conservancy, Rare Conservation, Fundacion EDUCA and Pronatura Noreste. Cristina was an Independent Director of the company Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, from 2011 to 2013. She has also served on a few NGO boards, including GRI, World Environment Center, CEDO, and UN Global Compact, Brazil, among others.
